This is a beautiful representation of Michigan's State Stone!

Meticulously and accuratley designed, this pin displays Michigan's most famous fossil. It makes a wonderful gift for any proud Michigander or Fossil enthusiant!

 

Hexagonaria percarinata (The Petoskey Stone) is a fossil coral belonging to the extinct order of corals called rugosa.  It lived during the Devonian Period (416-369.2 million years ago) and can most commonly be found betwen the cities of Petosky and Traverse City, MI; hense the name.
